assuming everyone is getting players from youth academy/scouting/etc eventually there will be a huge difference between the number of players people want to buy and th number of players per team so won't there be a flood of bad players in the market? Who wants to fire them and pay the price for that, they are forced to sit on your bench and you still have to pay them their wages. it's stupid and there should be a feature implemented to remove players from the game entirely if need be.

Problem will remain though, he is right, the worst player should just be deleted as they "retire". Like old players.

Simply to keep a clean database. There is absolutly no point in keeping player that will not only never show up on scout but will only contribute to a sort of bronze elo that nobody watch (unless you have a really shitty player and enjoy looking at its game).
It's not clean, it's costly in performances (they play matches and the server have to keep record of that) and there is no point in keeping them.
