I'm planning a new feature - facilities. Facilities are basically your gaming house, the beds, gaming gear and all that to make training, resting and everything more effective.
With this upcoming feature I also plan to add players energy level instead of limited 'sessions'. Because energy level gives wider possibilities in how your player's daily schedule can and should be planned. There will be an optimal energy level range where your player performs the best (for example 75%-90%) and it will be part of the game to schedule your player's day in such a manner that it would stay inside those percentages.
Energy level will be refreshed when the daily update is going on and it will be depleted by each solo queue game, team ranked or any other type of game (except sandbox) your player does. Training and for example streaming will also deplete your player's energy level.
What I would like to hear are suggestions on how the facilities should be named or any other suggestions regarding these features.
My current ideas are something like this. (This is open to a lot of changing). I would like to hear how would you name the levels. For example gaming house level 1 could mean that your players are currently living in their mother's basement with no windows etc. Level 2 could mean that you gather them together and have your team in a basic 1 roomed apartment, with level 10 being a mansion optimally designed for gaming.
Facilities will affect a whole lot of different areas in the game and buying a new level will cost more than the previous level and there will also be bigger maintenance costs every day with each level.
Facilities:
Gaming House ( Levels 1 - ...
Gaming Gear ( Levels 1 - ...
Sleeping Area ( Levels 1 - ...
Utilities ( Levels 1 - ... - utilities are cleaning services, cooking services. Everything that makes your players live in a cleaner environment while also saving their time so they can spend more time behind their computers.
What are your facility ideas?
Upcoming way of scheduling your player's day - it will be more flexible than it is now and you will be able to choose how much time your player will spend on something.
1) Solo queue 2) Training Sessions 3) Streaming - will earn revenue for your team 4) Physical Exercise, meditation, social activities?
So basically I would like to hear your input on this feature as I believe this feature will allow to add a lot more depth and management part to the game.
Meanwhile planning this my main areas of concentration right now still are:
1) Game Simulator weirdness issues 2) All the bugs and problems reported in the bug forum 3) Subscription system 4) Balancing the economy
Good luck and have fun!

So we basically "Fnatic" our Players ? :D
Imo its good to bring some more stuff to test and it makes it easier to balance the game and the economy.
Also i would put the facilities in a relationship to each other For example : - U need to buy Gaming House 2 before u can buy the 4. Sponsor Slot

This sounds awesome and I am so happy that you borrow so many of my ideas.
I agree with the aboe comment, have to have relatiosship between sponsors, how many trainers you have, some trainers need better facilities, facilities will boost the players fatigue etc

I feel like the the energy levels is just stupid. It would be if we just have a certain amount of slots each day. So forexample the better facilities you get the more slots of training you get access too. in real life there is no such thing as energy level, only player motivation. Maybe that should be a stat on players, the more motivation they have as a stat the more slots they get to do individual stuff. I siimply think the energy idea is bad game design.

Really nice. Good add to the game

@momostar - I'm wondering if we are on the same page about energy level thing.
In real life there is also only so much a human being can do in a single day of a single thing and not get tired of it.
For example say the player has 90% of energy. The next day you will do 5 solo queue games each taking up 2% of energy, 3 training sessions which take each 4% of energy and perhaps you play also 5 team rankeds which will each take 3% of energy. This all in total will take 37% of energy. The player will have 63% left by the end of the day and then while the daily update goes on, for example 25% of energy will be restored. Then you have only 88% energy left by the next day, however as 75% - 90% is the optimal range, 88% is still fine. But if you keep up with the same schedule your player will eventually get lower than 75% and you will either have to remove pressure on the player or upgrade your facilities. The manager will also have to find the optimal energy level and how to maintain it.
If your player goes lower than 75% the effectiveness of everything starts to drop as well the in game performance. These are just arbitrary non balanced values, but I'm wondering if this idea disagrees with you as well?
So this adds a strategic element where you can sometimes sacrifice a little bit of your player energy to perform worse in game, but put more into training.
In real life if you keep doing a task such as working, gaming for the whole day, it might be fine for few days, but eventually your productivity will start to drop. Same with physical sports and activities.
I think energy level quite nicely simulates that aspect as well as adds more strategic nuance and depth to the game.

@momastar Energy is kinda logical i think, it gives you more managing strategy because you can't just go 100% all the time, you have to manage players time and make decisions how you should do this. I hope they will implement som sort of injury system aswell that will injure your players if you push them to hard. Everything you do must have a thought about it.

The stats will only be reduced ingame while your energy level is low right? An other suggestion could be that if you keep overtraining your player (lets say at 0-10% frequently) the stats are reduced for ever (call it burnout or whatever)
Overall I like the concept of energy over sessions since it just more realistic and leaves for more for individual strats
About the names of the buildings I would suggest stuff like parents basement (with windows, we dont wanna kill them), followed up by a garage and then a small flat ending up in a big mansion like EDG has
As the buildings get bigger you could add features like wellness or fitness studio to increase their stamina (less energy being lost for playing games) or make them recover faster
Lastly if you are planning to add features like streaming or fanmeets it would be nice to add a kinda of personality to the players which results in: 1. some being better in the team environment and some just prefer so play solo 2. some having an entertaining/fun personality in order to have more success with streaming/gaining a bigger fanbase (ofc we have to consider how far that goes since there still is a pr manager)
just my two cents, hope it helped sorry for my language, I didn't pay too much attention to it while writing

Like the idea so far. You should also think about having some of the facilities be related to sponsors. For example, we all know pro players love their brand new HTC phones so maybe have some kind of way to get free stuff from the sponsors you're with maybe.

Maybe there could be room(s) for special kind of staff like a cook, shrink, masseur, fitness coach. So if you get a higher lvl Facility, you get more rooms to hire these specialists. Maybe one room per lvl from lvl 6 upwards to lvl 10, where you are able to get everyone. All of these special guys could have a different influence on the players/their energy level.

really good idea

I like the energy system. So at first, not every player should share the same schedule by then. You got this on your list, so it should be fine.
But you should try to change the way games are scheduled atm. With teamrankeds/soloQ/league games being played at random times, we are not really able to control the energy level that much.
For example we have the league game at 13:00. We usually know that quite early, that's fine. But we won't know the time for the 10 rankeds we put up with the daily update. If they are all played before the league match, we will be screwed. With a late league game, we might have to leave training for a whole day. So we either take a risk or leave out half of the training.

maybe it could be possible to set a team schedule in which you determine when league games, ranked games and "individual" will be. During that "individual" part, players take training lesson, play Solo Q, rest, etc... everything up to their personal schedule/settings.
