can have it for a good while, but you cant renew coaches, cant renew players and cant upgrade facilities, so as fast as players contracts start running out and you only have 4 players, you are getting kinda smashed if you havent fixed your economy by then

by quite a while, it means you can be negative forever, but you wont be able to do shit after a while if you dont fix it, its like just sitting there with nada players. only thing to do then is reset and restart game pretty much.

+Timfinity It seemed to me that at the beginning of the game I saw a warning that in X days the team would be declared bankrupt if the balance was not positive. And my further actions depend on this. The situation is under control, just the strategy is different. Thanks for the answer. :)
