I thought it would be a good idea to let players customize the pick priority for each individual role. Or just make it so that the custom priority only applies to their main role. i want my players to practice certain Champs without tanking their solo q rating, lol.

Thats how it works. Its a tradeoff : elo for champion mastery.

It isn't a question of whether or not it is intentional but rather whether it should work like that. In reality champion mastery and elo go hand in hand
