This game seems to focus more on the responsibility of the coach in the organization. (the main objective of the game is formulating strategy).
Managing would be more like purchasing advertisement, creating a brand/logo, contract negotiations , sponsorship activations, changing marketing strategy, etc.
This game isn't representative of the duties of an E-sports Manager.
(I greatly appreciate the game for what it is and have shown support with what little I have to spare)
Anyone feel the same?

yup.

Well to be fair, we DO manage player/sponsorship/coaching contracts and marketing, albeit rather simplistically. Strategy is really just a single function in a larger body; it does not suffice as a reason to change the name.

Sponsors : much more goes into managing sponsors than just signing a contract. You need to maintain contact with them and keep them happy (they could even add a relationship meter for your sponsors, and opportunities to do activations on player stream)
Player management: We aren't really managing them, they have no happiness meter, they just have an energy %. We insert numerical values and they perform their function. There is no dynamic of them feeling underpaid or demoralized.
Marketing: if by marketing you mean selling players, thats not what i meant. The only way to increase reputation is to hire a PR Bot and win games. There should be ways to build your brand, choosing target audiences, which social media to prioritize advertisement or which streaming platform to utilize.
My only point was there is way more emphasis on the coaching than managing

Yes, I understand your point.
However, coaching involves many more things than just the strategy page we have available to us; Comparatively, there are many more management options available. Therefore, I disagree that there is more emphasis on coaching than on management. I think you are kind of undermining the importance what we do outside of the strategy page.
Also keep in mind that everything in this game is still at its early stages. I am certain that we will get more complex management options in the future (like the happiness meter or brand building.) Its kind of premature to change the name of the game so early on without giving the creators any time to further develop the game based on the emphasis they have originally named the game after: Team management.

Happiness meter ? No thank you . I would rather have my coach slapping their asses if they underperform than giving them a cookie to boost their happiness .
