How long does a Scouted player remain available before signing?

How long does a Scouted player remain available before signing?
So basically my scout found a player I'd like to sign, but I'm at the player limit, so I'm not sure if I should fire one of my current players or put them on the market (which would delay the spot and not sure if I'd lose the scout if I wait that long).

The scouted player will remain with you until the next update at 20:00 UTC
