if you don't enable the instalock your favourite champions, what is the AI gonna pick? random at all? or just a random pick who fits best the position the player will get in soloq? just wondering :D

Player will try to pick the best possible choice for him/her at any given time if not instalock.

Lets say that he has 15 mid and 15 top, and both are available. Will he pick according to what his role in your team is, or random between those two?

The player will iterate over all the champions still left to pick and for each champion it will iterate which position out of the positions that are still left would that player do best with. The player in his calculations will consider how good that champion is at specific role and how good he himself is at that role and will base his decision according to that.
