I think the current league structure (as explained on the wiki) is fantastically boring.
When climbing you will know after a few games that you have no chance to rise and at around half time that you won't be able to stay either.
If you instead of a 1:4:16:256:... structure had an 1:2:4:8:... structure you could:
- promote team 1 & 2 - let team 3 play a qualifier to get promoted - demote team 10, 9, 8 & 7 (as now) - let team 6 & 5 play a qualifier to get demoted
This would make it easier to climb, but more importantly give players more to play for as there a 3 times the amount of spots to fight upwards for and only 50% more to fight against relegation.
All in all I think it would make the league system more fluid and therefor more fun to play around.
I understand the suggested structure might force you to have a ridiculous amount of leagues by numeral but the actual amount wouldn't be increased - although starting out in the league division 25 might be a deterrent to new players...?

Hi Kruff! After the fist season all divisions from 1 to 7 will be seeded according to your hidden ELO or CPI (we are still thinking which one we will use) not by your league spot. After the 2nth Season when we are seeding for 3th Season then the league positions will start to matter. In the first season when you rank high in the league you will have a better spot in the Mid Season Tournament and receive an Achievement.

Ok, that sounds good :)
Can you please consider my proposal for season 3 and onwards?
(I'll get an account on the wiki and edit in your response there. Is there a way to link to a specific post, or only thread, on the forums?)

I will definitely consider this and pass this on to Henri, he will make the decision if to use it or not.
This would be a good addition for the wiki, thanks! There is no way to link a post, just copy paste it there, no need to link this particular topic as it is not that informative.
