In my first hours of playing, i exercised the "extend player contact" for each of my 5 players, boosting their contracts to about 40 days each. Will i be able to keep my players when those contracts end or do i have to go to the market to make a whole new team? Is there a way to offer them contracts in order to keep them with the team?

You are totally fine. You should be able to extend the contratcs later on. When you extend contracts, the wage will also be asign. The new contract just kicks in when the actual one runs out. So you simply cannot give him his fourth contract, when the first is still running.
